How it works
How it’s worked out
Needed GPA = (target GPA × total credits − current GPA × credits so far) ÷ credits still to take.
Example: you have a 3.0 over 30 credits and want a 3.5 with 30 credits to go: (3.5 × 60 − 3.0 × 30) ÷ 30 = 4.0, so you’d need straight A’s.
This uses a 4.0 scale. Retaken classes may replace old grades at your school, which can change the number.

Questions
Before you start.
Why is it so hard to raise my GPA late in college?
Your GPA averages across every credit, so the more credits you’ve finished, the less each new grade moves it. The calculator shows how much your remaining credits can do.
What if I need more than a 4.0?
Then that goal isn’t reachable in those credits. The page shows where straight A’s would leave you. Add more credits to see how long the goal would take.
Do retakes count?
It depends on your school. Some replace the old grade and some average both, so check your registrar’s policy.
Are my numbers saved?
No. The math runs in your browser and nothing you type is stored.
