How it works
How a weighted grade is worked out
Multiply each score by its weight, add those up, then divide by the total weight you entered.
Example: a 90% in homework worth 40% and an 80% on tests worth 60%: (90 × 40 + 80 × 60) ÷ 100 = 84%.
Letter grades use the common US scale, where 93 is an A and 90 is an A-. Your class may round or cut off differently, so check your syllabus.

What if my weights don’t add up to 100%?
That’s fine mid-semester. The result is your grade on the work you’ve entered so far, and the page tells you how much isn’t counted yet.
What if my class uses points instead of weights?
Enter each category’s percentage score, and use its points as the weight. The math comes out the same.
