Ace asksA practice prescription calls for 750 milligrams of a medication, and the suspension contains 250 milligrams per 5 milliliters. What volume supplies the prescribed amount, and how do the units cancel?
YouI'm not sure.
Here's the answer. The volume is 15 milliliters. Multiply 750 milligrams by 5 milliliters divided by 250 milligrams to get 15 milliliters; milligrams cancel, leaving milliliters. Remember to put the unit you want on top of the conversion factor.
